Heat stress: tackle it in time

Renewed Heatstop: no cracks on hot days!

As warm-blooded animals, chickens convert energy from the feed into heat. At normal temperatures and humidity, they can release that body heat through breathing, evaporation and heat conduction. At very high ambient temperatures and humidity, it becomes more difficult for the chicken to transfer the heat produced to the environment. For example, you soon see chickens breathing faster with the mouth open. The airflow that flows over the tongue when breathing evaporates the moisture and dissipates body heat. However, this still has little effect at a humidity percentage above 75%.

Several measures can be taken to limit the effects of a heat wave. However, nutritional support is a welcome support. The laying dip, reduced egg shell quality and death due to heat stress can be prevented by using Heat Stop. Heat Stop is a nutritional supplement for poultry that reduces oxidative stress and addresses its symptoms. Heat Stop ensures a quieter house, less shedding and better egg shell quality. More comfort with the animals ensures better results.
